Mature Living: Creating Virtual Communities

　

In this episode, we explore how community programs are addressing the problem of social isolation during a time of social distancing.  Jackie Rich, Technology Instructor with the Department of Neighborhood and Community Services, shares how our senior centers are now using a virtual platform to keep members active and engaged from their homes.  Rhiannon Duck, the Village and Special Projects Coordinator for Fairfax County, discusses how the county’s village programs are adapting to continue providing services and socialization to their members.  Also, Mature Living Producer Fran speaks to several community members about how they stay social and engaged, and what they are learning during this time of social distancing.
