Stay Informed as Detours May Change Throughout the Day

Riders are encouraged to stay informed for regular updates throughout the day.

Safety is Our Top Priority!

  • When traveling during inclement weather or snowy conditions, riders should plan for longer waits for buses and allow additional travel time.
  • Make sure to dress warmly as you may have to wait for the bus longer than normal.
  • Do not stand in the street while waiting for a bus and use extreme caution when walking on exposed surfaces, including parking lots and station platforms.

Allow Extra Time, Stay Safe and Help VDOT Get the Roads Plowed

  • Riders are encouraged to prepare for longer waits at bus stops and additional travel time due to road conditions.
  • Please stay off the roads. It is critical that the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews are able to effectively clear the streets and public safety can respond to emergencies. Clean up may take several days.
  • Please avoid walking in the streets, you are putting your life in danger.
  • See an interactive VDOT snowplowing map here: www.vdotplows.org
