Fairfax Connector announces service during the Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve and New Year's Day holidays. On Christmas Eve, Monday, Dec. 24, New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, Fairfax Connector will operate Holiday Weekday Service. On Christmas Day, Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2018 and New Year's Day, Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, Fairfax Connector will operate Sunday Service.
Metro will provide special late-night rail service on New Year's Eve for the benefit of holiday revelers ringing in 2019. Trains will continue running until 2 a.m. -- two and a half hours later than Metro's normal weeknight closing time.
Schedule information for Christmas Eve, Monday, Dec. 24, 2018 (Holiday Weekday Service)
All routes operate regular weekday service except:
- Routes 231, 232, 335, 393, 394, 395, 422, 432, 461, 494, 495, 556, 585, 599, 624, 634, 644, 698, 699, 724 and 985, which will NOT operate.
Route 980 will run every 12-15 minutes instead of every 6-8 minutes.

Routes that operate on Sundays are: 101, 109, 151, 152, 161, 162, 171, 310, 321, 322, 371, 401, 402, 423, 463, 505, 551, 558, 559, 574, 605, 630, 640, 650, 721, 937, 950, 981, 983, RIBS 1, RIBS 2, RIBS 3, RIBS 4, and RIBS 5.
If a route is not listed above, it does not operate Sunday service.
