Data from the annual Youth Survey in 2022 provides insight into how Fairfax County youth spend their time across extracurricular activities, civic engagements, physical activity, screen time and sleep.
The rates of regular extracurricular activities in school and away from school and volunteering went down from 2019 to 2021. Although the 2022 rates showed some recovery compared to the previous year, they were still below pre-pandemic levels.
