SUNSET CONCERTS AT LAKE ANNE PLAZA
One of the highlights of the summer is the return of the Sunset Concerts at Lake Anne Plaza.
As Heiligh explained, “We're very excited to be back there, and so are the residents who live there. People have been wanting it to be back.”
These concerts take place every Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. starting June 12 and running through Aug. 14.
The Sunset Concerts will feature a variety of musical performances, including jazz, reggae and pop. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and enjoy the shows in the picturesque setting of Lake Anne Plaza.
A NEW VENUE: TAKE A BREAK AT HALLEY RISE
Heiligh expressed enthusiasm for the Take a Break Entertainment Series, which will be held at the new Halley Rise development near the Wegmans grocery store.
“I'm more so excited for us being at a new location. I’m really excited that we’re getting out to Halley Rise and meeting a new audience and extending our concert series to the other side of the metro station because there’s not really been any...concerts on that side.”
The Take a Break concerts will be held on Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., beginning June 6 and continuing through Aug. 29. Attendees should note that this event is trash-free, meaning they must take any trash or recyclables with them when they leave.
