Reading Tails is a fun and engaging program where kids learn about FCAS and improve their reading skills by sharing bedtime stories with shelter pets! The program includes a behind‑the‑scenes tour of the shelter and plenty of time for participating kids to read a bedtime story to a shelter pet of their choosing, whether it’s a dog, cat, rabbit, guinea pig, or even a mouse.
Reading Tails is offered on Sunday evenings from 5 to 6 p.m. at both our Michael R. Frey and Lorton Campuses.
