Animal Services Alert:
We're currently recruiting new Dog Handler volunteers for our Lorton campus!
By signing up, you are registering for a Virtual New Volunteer Information Session specifically for individuals interested in becoming Dog Handler volunteers. These volunteers must be comfortable and capable of handling large, strong dogs that may pull, jump, or tug on the leash.
Ideal candidates have availability to volunteer on weekdays. Volunteers must commit to a weekly, recurring shift. We are not accepting new volunteers for other roles, locations, or times during this session.
During this Virtual New Volunteer Information Session, you will learn about our shelter, how the Volunteer Program works, details about the Dog Handler role and requirements, and have an opportunity to ask questions.
