The Board of Supervisors will meet at 12:30 p.m. on April 13, 2021 electronically (due to the State of Emergency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic).

Budget Public Hearings will be held at 4:00 p.m. on April 13, 3:00 p.m. on April 14, and 3:00 p.m. on April 15, 2021.

All meetings are televised on Channel 16streamed live online and available to view on demand following the meeting. Live audio of the meeting may also be accessed by dialing 703-324-5300.

As the meeting will be held electronically, no in-person testimony will be heard, but there are several ways that you can testify on the Public Hearing items scheduled:

  • Submit Written Testimony: e-mail ClerktotheBOS@fairfaxcounty.gov or mail your testimony to the Department of Clerk Services at 12000 Government Center Parkway, Suite 552, Fairfax, VA 22035. Testimony related to the Budget can also be submitted using an online form.
  • Testify By Phone: Register to speak and indicate this as your preferred method of testifying when confirming with the Department of Clerk Services; please note, for the best connection into the meeting, please use a land line or, if using a cell phone, do not use the speaker function while testifying; or
  • Testify By Video: Register to speak and then submit a YouTube Video.

Those wishing to testify can register by signing up online or by calling the Department of Clerk Services at 703-324-3151, TTY 711.

Speakers to testify via phone must sign up to testify no later than 12:00 p.m. the day of the hearing to be placed on the Speakers List. Please note: On the final day of Budget Public Hearings (April 15) and for the 2:30-3:00 p.m. Public Hearings on April 13, speakers may also call in live during the Public Hearing for which they would like to testify using the phone number provided during the live broadcast. Speakers testifying via video must sign up and submit their video no later than 9 a.m. on the day prior to the hearing. For phone and video testimony, if speaking as an individual, you are given three minutes to testify; if you are the spokesperson for a group, you are given five minutes. Copies of the full text of proposed ordinances, plans and amendments, as applicable, as well as other documents relating to the Board of Supervisors meetings, are online, but are also on file and available for review with the Department of Clerk Services.
