Fairfax Connector is excited to announce Winterfest 2024 will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the new Springfield Community Business Center (CBC) Commuter Parking Garage located at 7039 Old Keene Mill Rd, Springfield, VA 22150.

  • Sensory Time: 9:30 - 10 a.m. 

  • General Public: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

This FREE event will open at 9:30 a.m. with sensory-friendly time for neurodivergent children and families. This will be a time when it's a little quieter to enjoy the Santa Bus and other activities. The event will be open to everyone else at 10 a.m. For planning purposes, we ask all attendees to obtain a free entry ticket. 

The weather forecast for Sunday is low 50s and this is an outdoor event, so please dress accordingly. 

Pictures with Santa!

Winterfest is FREE to attend, and all are welcome, however, tickets are required to secure a time slot to visit Santa on our specially designed Santa Bus. Secure a time slot with Santa here. One slot per family please. If all timeslots are full, we will do our best to squeeze any walk-ups in! 

How does it work?

  • Arrive to the Santa Bus 10 minutes prior to your ticketed timeslot. 
  • Use your personal cellphone or camera for photos.
  • If you'd like a family picture, a helper will be available to assist. 

What else to expect!

  • FREE hot cocoa/coffee from Duck Donuts  
  • FREE kettle corn from Colonial Kettle Corn
  • goodies with Mrs. Claus
  • games, crafts, face painting 
  • a DJ playing holiday favorites 

Make a Donation

Fairfax Connector is partnering with the nonprofit Cornerstones and will be collecting donations at the Winterfest event. If you are able, please bring:

  • new toiletries: bar soap, shampoo, lotion, deodorant, toothbrushes, tissues
  • new cleaning supplies: baking soda, dish soap, sponges, bathroom cleaner
  • new unwrapped toys for all ages up to 18 years old

The Springfield Commuter Garage is located at 7039 Old Keene Mill Rd., Springfield, VA 22150. There is plenty of FREE parking spaces with stairs and elevator access to the ground level. Find more information about this facility here.

The contest ends Dec. 31, 2024. A winner(s) will be selected at random and mailed a $50 SmarTrip card.
