Project Goals:​

• MPA acquired the property located at The Signet in downtown McLean (Tax Map: 30-2 ((54)) 2) in September 2024.
• Capital fundraising campaign is underway. Through March 2025, MPA has raised over $5.5 million of the $6.25 million required.
• Project design is complete with construction drawings submitted for permitting.
• The McLean Project for the Arts & Education Center is expected to open in early 2026.

Project Milestones:

Project Outcomes:​

• Real estate tax revenue has increased, providing greater fiscal support for the local community. The real estate tax assessment of the property has increased by 21% from 2024 to 2025.  
• New commercial and residential developments are now underway in the blocks surrounding the MPA including the MARS headquarters and a new condominium building. Together with the MPA, these will encourage greater economic activity and placemaking opportunities in downtown McLean.
