GIS Day celebrates the transformative power of Geographic Information Systems across the globe. This technology reveals not just where things happen, but how they connect and why they matter through comprehensive mapping and analysis. GIS captures and analyzes spatial data to drive smarter, more informed decisions. Fairfax County has been a proud participant in GIS Day since the event's launch.

GIS Day provides an opportunity to recognize effective and creative use of spatial tools by Fairfax County staff to better serve agencies and constituents.
