Juneteenth Resiliency Award Winners Announced

On June 6, the recipients of the 2023 Juneteenth Resiliency Awards were recognized by the Board of Supervisors.

The Juneteenth Resiliency Awards recognize youth and young adults ages 13-21 who have exhibited true resiliency as well as grit, determination, dedication, perseverance and persistence. The recipients make meaningful contributions and outcomes in their lives and the lives of others in the Black community.

“While we celebrate Juneteenth, we also reestablish ourselves in the fight for equity,” said Chairman Jeffrey C. McKay. “[It’s] what our One Fairfax stands for.”
