Fairfax Connector invites our community to the second annual Fairfax Connector Winterfest. The event will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the new Springfield Community Business Center (CBC) Commuter Garage located at 7039 Old Keene Mill Rd, Springfield, VA 22150.

This free event will open at 9:30 a.m. with a sensory-friendly time for neurodivergent children and families. This will be a time when it's a little quieter to enjoy the Santa Bus and other activities.

The event will be open to everyone from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. For planning purposes, we ask all attendees to register for a free entry ticket.  

All three of our specially designed holiday buses will be at Winterfest.

• Special Surprises with Ms. Claus
• Free hot cocoa and kettle corn
• Games, crafts, face painting 
• DJ playing holiday favorites

Parking is free in the garage, then take the stairs or elevator to the event on the ground level.

At our Winterfest celebration, Fairfax County Department of Transportation/Fairfax Connector is collecting donations to help support Cornerstones. This established Fairfax County non-profit helps individuals and families in need with housing, food, financial assistance, childcare and youth services, and community resources. We will have a donation Bus to Stuff at Winterfest to collect the following items:

• New toiletries such as: bar soap, shampoo, lotion, deodorant, toothbrushes, tissues
• New cleaning supplies such as: baking soda, dish soap, sponges, bathroom cleaner
• New unwrapped toys for children of all ages up to 18 years of age

The public is not required to bring an item to donate but any donations are greatly appreciated!
