Community Forum on Accessible Transportation Topics
In April 2025, the Fairfax Area Disability Services Board (FA-DSB) held a virtual community forum to identify systemic gaps in service and/or barriers Fairfax County, City of Falls Church, and City of Fairfax residents with disabilities face with accessible transportation. A summary report of the feedback will be shared when it is completed.
2024 Community Forums
Two virtual community forums were held in July and August 2024 focused on various topics such as, Services for Older Adults and Family Caregivers, Housing and Neighborhood Supports, Access to Mobility Options, Personal Well-being, and Economic Stability and Planning.
These community forums were part of an initiative in the SHAPE the Future of Aging Plan, a strategic plan to make Fairfax County a better place to age, for older adults to live safely, independently, and with dignity. Information collected during the forums will be used to inform the Board of Supervisors of the issues faced by the community. The information may also be used to help develop future FA-DSB initiatives. This is an opportunity to share your thoughts and get directly involved.
