The Central Records Division at the Fairfax County Police Department is here to assist you. If you need to obtain police records, verification reports, or other services, you can schedule an appointment to visit our office using the link below. By scheduling an appointment, you can avoid waiting in line and ensure timely service.

Appointment Requirements

Before scheduling your appointment, please ensure you meet the following requirements:

  1. Review the Central Records | Police page to confirm that the report or records are available for release (reports cannot be processed or disseminated unless the associated case is closed).
  2. Have your **case number** ready if applicable.
  3. Bring a valid photo identification(s) to your appointment. Note: Some requests require two forms of ID.

Appointments are available during the Central Records Division's regular business hours:

Monday – Friday, 8am - 12pm and 1pm - 4pm

Please note that visitors may not be added to the in-person queue past 11:45am and 3:45 pm.

Central Records closes at 3 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month.
