As a new employee in Fairfax County, you have many great benefit options, one of which is Retirement Benefits.
All new merit employees are eligible for retirement benefits will be automatically enrolled in one of three Defined Benefit Retirement Systems. Your membership is determined by the type of job for which you were hired.
Please review the New Employee Video called "Understanding Your Retirement System". It gives you basic information to understand the retirement benefits you have. You may want to print the New Employee Orientation Slides that go along with the video presentation.
