Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano announces two manslaughter convictions that occurred in the Fairfax County Courthouse. Ismael Cruz Delcid pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter for the killing of MM, a teenage acquaintance, in March 2024. In a separate case, Douglas Sommer also pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter and unlawful discharge of a firearm for killing his wife, Marilyn Sommer, in February 2025.
