Domestic Violence Action Center’s Advocacy Services Extends Hours

Domestic Violence Action Center (DVAC) graphic logoThe Domestic Violence Action Center (DVAC) now offers late appointments and longer DVAC Main Line hours to Advocacy Services clients, extending remote services Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-7 p.m.

Advocacy Services is designed to increase knowledge and understanding of available resources and options to support clients. Advocates provide court and legal advocacy, as well as housing and economic support. Specially trained advocates explain court system processes and what to expect as they provide, free of charge:

  • Safety planning
  • Crisis intervention
  • Court accompaniment to protective order hearings
  • Information and assistance with civil and criminal court process
  • Information about available housing/shelter and economic resources 
  • Referrals
