Meeting Notice and Agenda
The purpose of this meeting is for the FCRHA to conduct public hearings and to take action on specified Resolutions and to continue with its duties and responsibilities. The meeting comports with continuity in government, is statutorily required, or is necessary to continue the operations of the FCRHA because it ensures that the FCRHA continues certain essential functions and services including conducting public hearings, approving project financing, review of grant applications and contracts/agreements for potential approval, taking actions on key policy documents and amendments to key policy documents, ensuring the ongoing viability of affordable housing development projects, and taking actions in which time is of the essence or are administratively necessary. Failure to take these actions could cause irreparable harm to the programs and services of the FCRHA.
The FCRHA is a separate political body whose members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors and which possesses specific powers granted by state code. The powers of the FCRHA are vested in eleven Commissioners appointed by the County Board of Supervisors. The schedule of FCRHA meetings and Minutes of past meetings are posted online.
The mission of the FCRHA is to initiate and provide opportunities for Fairfax County residents to live in safe, affordable housing and to help develop, preserve, and revitalize communities through fiscally responsible and open processes.
