The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) is opening its HCV Waitlist on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 8 a.m. through February 4, 2019, 11:59 p.m. Following is a list of Frequently Asked Questions related to the opening of this waitlist.
The HCV Program (formerly “Section 8”) provides tenant-based rental support payments that enable recipients to rent any private market housing unit that accepts the vouchers. A housing subsidy is paid to the landlord directly by the FCRHA on behalf of the participating family. The family then pays the difference between the actual rent charged by the landlord and the amount subsidized by the program.
You must apply online and you can use any computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic device with internet access.
