The Centreville community is on the brink of an exciting transformation, and residents are invited to Study areabe a part of shaping the future.

After more than 25 years, and with direction from the Board of Supervisors, the county is revisiting the community’s blueprint — the comprehensive plan that guides everything from housing and parks to how we move around.

The Centreville Planning Study is a forward-looking initiative aimed at capturing the aspirations of all who live, work and enjoy Centreville. The goal is to reflect the needs and visions into the area’s development plan, covering a broad spectrum from housing and parks to transportation and environmental stewardship.

Join the Community Meeting

A pivotal community meeting is scheduled for March 14 at 7 p.m. at Centre Ridge Elementary School, 14400 New Braddock Road, Centreville. This gathering is a cornerstone event where the community will come together to:

  • Gain insights into the Centreville Planning Study and its significance for the future.
  • Express their visions for the area’s development, highlighting what improvements and innovations they desire to see.
  • Engage directly with county staff, providing a unique opportunity to inquire and understand more about the planning processes and objectives.

Recognizing the importance of family participation, childcare services will be available to ensure that all community members can attend and contribute.

All interested in the study are welcome to sign up for project updates and submit their comments.

Public feedback will be used alongside staff analysis to determine the next steps for the Centreville Planning Study.
