Hannah Hutton with our Park Authority discussed the benefits of Rec Center membership on a recent episode of the “County Conversation” podcast.

Hutton noted that all Rec Centers have indoor pools and fitness centers. Other amenities vary by location, including a pottery center, indoor water park, multiple basketball courts, covered turf facility, mini golf, childcare and more.

REC CENTER MEMBERSHIP

With a Rec Center membership you can take advantage of all the amenities at every county Rec Center with no initiation fee and no annual dues or hidden costs.

Rec Center memberships are offered in a variety of payment options:

  • Annual membership
  • Month-to-month membership
  • Discount fast pass – 25 admission pass
  • General admission - daily pass

Hutton added that the best “bang for your buck” is the 30 days for $30 membership available to new members. The 30-day for $30 pass will help you know how much you're going to use the Rec Center, and if you like it, you can sign up for the annual pass, Hutton said.

REC CENTER LOCATIONS

*The Mount Vernon Rec Center in Alexandria closed Jan. 1 for renovations, which are expected to take approximately two years.

One you're engaged in the Rec Center community...you're so much more likely to keep doing whatever it is that you want to be doing at the Rec Center.
