The Telecommunications Committee was constituted. Commissioner Peter Murphy was elected Chairman and Commissioner John Ulfelder was elected Vice Chairman. The Planning Division staff provided a presentation on the proposed Wireless Telecommunication Zoning Ordinance Amendment (ZOA) and the proposed Mobile and Land-Based Telecom Policy Plan Amendment (PA).

January 24, 2019:
The Telecommunications Committee was given a presentation by Dominion Virginia Power regarding an overview of their electric transmission projects as a follow up from the October 17, 2018 meeting.
January 16, 2019
The Telecommunications Committee was given a presentation by Planning Division staff regarding a new telecommunications permit, Administrative Review Eligible Projects Permits (AREP) and the Consent Agenda process. There was a discussion regarding the Planning Commissions role in the review of AREPs, with staff recommending monthly reviews of a single package of applications under a new consent agenda rule. The Committee voted to recommend approval to the Planning Commission of an amended Resolution which addresses the Planning Commissions review of AREPs through Consent Agenda.

The Telecommunications Committee was constituted. The Committee received a presentation from Dominion Virginia Power on electric transmission infrastructure.

The Telecommunications Committee was constituted. Commissioner Peter Murphy was elected Chairman and Commissioner John Ulfelder was elected Vice Chairman. The Committee discussed the implementation of the House Bill 1258.

The Telecommunications Committee was constituted and Commissioner Murphy was elected Chairman. The Committee discussed the letters from T-Mobile and Crown Castle regarding the Zoning Ordinance amendment concerning the small cell installations.
February 8, 2017
The Telecommunications Committee finalized the review of the Mobile and Land-Based Telecommunication Services portion of the Policy Plan Amendment language that was superseded by Section 6409 of the Spectrum Act. The Committee voted unanimously to recomemnd approval of the amended document to the Planning Commission.
