Complaints regarding use of force by the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) can be submitted to the OIPA. Upon receipt, the Auditor will monitor or review the FCPD investigation into the complaint. Once completed, the FCPD will notify you of the results of the investigation and the Auditor will issue a public report with its findings
Some complaints may be handled by both the Auditor and the Panel. Complaints submitted online are automatically routed to the appropriate office based on the type of allegations made.
