DPWES has selected the following projects to spotlight with detailed information regarding background, benefits, and what to expect.

Paul Spring Branch at Sherwood Hall Stream Restoration Paul Spring Branch at Sherwood Hall Stream Restoration This project will restore about 12,000 feet of Paul Spring Branch and the North Fork of Little Hunting Creek, tributaries, stormwater outfalls and the floodplain within the stream valley between Mason Hill Drive, Sherwood Hall Road and Collingwood Road. Colvin Run Phase II at Lake Fairfax Park Stream Restoration Colvin Run Phase II at Lake Fairfax Park Stream Restoration This project will restore about 4,454 feet of stream channels in Lake Fairfax Park using a large amount of woody debris in floodplains, reconnecting the stream to its floodplain where possible, and employing multiple unique engineered grade control struc Hunter Mill District Difficult Run
Tripps Run at Barrett Road Flood Mitigation Project Tripps Run at Barrett Road Flood Mitigation Project This study assessed and evaluated four flood mitigation project scenarios including grading and stream enhancements along Tripps Run between Annandale Road and Sleepy Hollow Road.
