The Retirement Systems office is lead by its Executive Director, Jeff Weiler. He was appointed by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors to this position in September 2013.
Prior to joining the County of Fairfax, he served for seven years as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Clark County (Nevada) School District, and, before that, six years as CFO of Gwinnett County (Georgia) Public Schools. While at Gwinnett, in addition to his role as CFO, he was the Treasurer of the $1 billion Gwinnett Retirement System.
Mr. Weiler has been a consultant with KPMG and began his career with the Fairfax County (Virginia) Public School District, where he worked for over 15 years in a number of financial roles. Mr. Weiler, a proud native of Blacksburg Virginia, holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from his hometown university - Virginia Tech.
