• Appointing John S. Butler as the new chief of the county’s Fire and Rescue Department.
• Adopted the county’s first-ever operational energy strategy, which sets specific goals and targets for reducing energy use in its buildings, vehicles and operations, with the aim of lowering utility bills while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
