The Department of Clerk Services combines the former Office of the Clerk to the Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission office. Clerk Services provides timely and accurate administrative support services to the Board of Supervisors and the Fairfax County Planning Commission.

• The Office of the Clerk to the Board of Supervisors provides timely and accurate administrative support services to the Board of Supervisors to meet requirements of state law, the county code, board policy, and county policies and procedures.
   
• The Planning Commission office assists the Fairfax County Planning Commission with its goal of providing the Board of Supervisors with recommendations on land use policies and plans which will result in orderly, balanced, and equitable County growth.
