Public Hearing Opportunity to Provide Input for HOME-ARP Allocation Plan

photoFairfax County invites you to participate in a virtual public hearing being convened by the Consolidated Community Funding Advisory Committee (CCFAC) on January 10, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. to receive public comment and input as the County is developing its HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME)-American Rescue Plan (ARP) allocation plan. Fairfax County received an award of $7.88 million in HOME-ARP funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to address homelessness assistance and supportive services. Funds may be used for 1) development and support of affordable housing, 2) tenant-based rental assistance, 3) provision of supportive services, and 4) acquisition and development of non-congregate shelter units.

Qualifying populations to be served under HOME-ARP are: 1) homeless; 2) at risk of homelessness; 3) those fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking; and 4) other families requiring services or housing assistance to prevent homelessness, or households at greatest risk of housing instability.

After engaging in a consultation process required by HUD, the following allocations are proposed:

During the public hearing, participants will have an opportunity to make presentations and take part in discussions regarding the proposed allocation and ideas and insights into the use of the awarded funds.
