Notice of Public Hearing - Proposed Interim Agreement for Residences II Affordable Housing Development

logoThe Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) will hold a public hearing on March 31, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. The public hearing is on the proposed Interim Agreement with LACM VA, LLC, a subsidiary of Lincoln Avenue Capital (LAC), for the development of a 4.532-acre property at the intersection of Government Center Parkway and Post Forest Drive, near the Fairfax County Government Center, called the Residences at Government Center II Multi-Family Housing. The project would create approximately 275 affordable multi-family units in two buildings for low- to moderate-income individuals, together with surface and structured parking, pursuant to the Public-Private Education Facilities and Infrastructure Act of 2002, as amended, Va. Code Ann §§ 56-575.1-575.18 (PPEA). The Interim Agreement would, among other things, enable LAC to pursue the land use approvals necessary for the project.

In accordance with the requirements of the PPEA statute and the PPEA Guidelines of the County and FCRHA, a copy of the Interim Agreement has been posted online with the Fairfax County Department of Procurement and Material Management (https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/procurement/ppea/gc-residences). Electronic copies of the documents may also be obtained by contacting the Office of the Clerk to the Board of Supervisors at ClerktotheBOS@fairfaxcounty.gov, or by calling 703-324-3151.

Live audio and public testimony of the meeting may be accessed by dialing 1-877-402- 9757 and entering the code: 1789207. Residents wishing to speak are encouraged to contact Avis Wiley by phone at 703-246-5152, TTY 711, or by email at Avis.Wiley@fairfaxcounty.gov to indicate their desire to participate.
