The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) is now accepting applications for single-occupancy affordable housing at Coan Pond. Coan Pond is co-located within the main office building of the FCRHA in Fairfax.
The Coan Pond Residences offer pleasant living accommodations for single adults with low income without the commitment of a long-term lease or the financial hardship of a large security deposit. Applicants must have a minimum income of $19,940 and earn no more than $59,820 per year. Additional eligibility requirements apply.
Each efficiency includes a twin bed and is thoughtfully designed to afford privacy and comfort at a price well below market rents. Rent is 30% of tenant income, with renewal option every two weeks. Utilities – including local phone service included in the rent. There is a fee for local cable and WIFI access. Residents must supply their own linens (bedding, towels, etc.).
