Join us for a day of fun, connection, and community spirit!

The 2nd Providence Day & Back to School Celebration on Saturday, September 20th will be dedicated to celebrating the vibrant diverse community we're proud to call home. This event, co-hosted by Supervisor Palchik, Providence District School Board Member Karl Frisch, Celebrate Fairfax, and Neighborhood and Community Services, will have a variety of activities for all ages, including arts and crafts, bingo, corn hole, and more. This free, family-friendly event is open to all Fairfax County residents.

Community Spotlight Awards

Do you know someone who consistently goes above and beyond to help the Providence community and makes a difference in the lives of those around them?

We are accepting nominations for individuals aged 18+ for the Oak of Providence Award and nominations of students for the Redbud of Providence Award who have made a significant impact through their dedication, hard work, and passion for serving others.

Please submit a 150-word paragraph introducing your nominee and include their contact information, which award you are nominating them for, and how they have positively contributed to the Providence community through their leadership, work, and advocacy by Friday, September 5th to Providence@fairfaxcounty.gov.

These awards will be presented at our Providence Day and Back to School Celebration on Saturday, September 20th.
