The Fairfax County Retirement Systems are sponsoring two Social Security presentations at their location in Fairfax, Virginia on Thursday, April 4th, 2019. A representative from the Social Security Administration will present information on both Social Security and Medicare, as well as discuss the importance of creating an account and using the online Social Security Estimator. The staff at the Retirement Systems, wants to help you understand how to use your Social Security Estimate in conjunction with your FCERS Retirement Benefit Estimate to develop a secure financial plan for your future retirement.Each session is 60-90 minutes long, with time for questions after. Please sign up for one session only, and if your preferred session has a wait list, sign up for that session on the wait list, as we expect a fair amount of movement from the wait list to confirmed status in the weeks leading up to April 4th. Register through EmployeeU and search on “Social Security”. The classes you are looking for are called “Social Security by Social Security”. Not to be confused with the courses presented by a representative from T. Rowe Price.
