When you need to get from Point A to Point B with more than two feet but less than four wheels, borrowing a bicycle with Capital Bikeshare might be your answer! Capital Bikeshare is a regional bicycle transit system jointly owned by Fairfax County, Arlington County, City of Alexandria, City of Fairfax, City of Falls Church, Prince George’s County, Montgomery County and the District of Columbia.
Fairfax County’s Capital Bikeshare began in 2016 with 18 stations in the Reston and Tysons communities. Today, Fairfax County has 94 Capital Bikeshare stations located across county – including a Capital Bikeshare station at every Metrorail station in Fairfax County. The county’s Capital Bikeshare fleet now numbers more than 500 bikes – over 200 of which are electric bikes!
