Walk and Win Challenge

That's a wrap for the 2026 Walk & Win Challenge. Congratulations to all the participants, and a special shoutout to the Hunter Mill District who submitted the most walks! Please take a moment to take our Participant Survey. We look forward to your feedback.

Walk. Share. Win!

From April 1 through April 30, walk on one of nine designated Fairfax County loops (or if one isn’t nearby, create your own route), submit your walk, and earn chances to win weekly prizes.

Participants must submit at least one photo or screenshot per week to be eligible for that week’s prize drawing. Submissions are reset weekly, so keep walking and uploading all month long.

How the Walk & Win Challenge Works

  1. Choose a Loop
  • Walk any of the nine designated district loops. Scroll down to find your loop. If a loop isn’t nearby, create your own route within Fairfax County—it all counts.

2. Track or Snap

  • In April, track your walk using Strava, another fitness app, or a pedometer, and upload a screenshot—or snap a selfie or scenic photo during your walk.

    3. Enter to Win

  • Submit your walk by uploading your photo or screenshot along with your name,
email and chosen route be entered into weekly prize drawings.

BONUS: Extra prize entry if you walk a designated loop or share your photo on social media using #WalkWinFX2026
*Automatic prize if you walk all designated loops.

     4. Walk More. Win More.

  • Each submitted walk increases your chances of winning and helps your district climb the leaderboard. Weekly standings will be posted every Monday. The district with the highest participation will be named the 2026 Fairfax County Walk & Win Leading District.

The more you walk, the more chances you have to win!

Multiple Ways to Win

Weekly Prize Drawings (April)

  • Submit at least one walk per week to be eligible for that week’s prize drawing.
    • Weekly winners will be randomly selected on:
      • April 1
      • April 2
      • April 6
      • April 13
      • April 20
      • April 27
      • May 1

Prizes may include gift cards from local retailers and merchants, as well as walking-related items. Walk and submit as often as you like—more walks mean more chances to win.
