Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) continues a series of virtual community meetings on the Richmond Highway Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project. Meetings this month will focus on branding concepts for the Richmond Highway BRT system, including a name, logo, colors, and other elements that will bring the service to life. All these elements will help to create an “identity” for the BRT system, building on existing community features to reflect the future of the corridor.
FCDOT will hold virtual community input meetings to discuss BRT branding options on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. (English) and Thursday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. (Spanish). The public is invited to ask questions and provide feedback on the various aspects of the project.

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is a high-quality public transportation system that operates much like rail service, but uses buses on a separate, dedicated transit way. The Richmond Highway BRT Project implements recommendations developed during a 2015 Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) study.
The BRT project is part of Fairfax County’s Embark Richmond Highway program, which also includes road widening, enhanced bicycle and pedestrian facilities. The Richmond Highway BRT project is funded in part by the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority.
