FCDOT is working to complete missing walkway segments on Crestview Drive between Ferris Avenue and Builders Road.

In addition to connecting the walkway, the project includes new curb and gutter on the western side of Crestview Drive, crosswalks and pedestrian signals, an 8' wide pedestrian refuge island and ADA ramps.

Project Schedule (Updated May 2026): The project has moved into Pre-Final (90%) Design. 

FCDOT held a community meeting to discuss the design of the Crestview Drive Walkway project on May 7, 2025, and included a presentation on proposed improvements, land rights, potential utility relocation and schedule.

In response to community concerns raised at the meeting, FCDOT has added the following improvements to the project: 

• A new crosswalk on the north leg of Crestview Drive at Builders Avenue.
  ADA ramps for the new crosswalk
• Remove and relocate existing bus stop at the southeast corner of the intersection to the northeast corner.
• Construct bus stop pads for the relocated bus stop as well as existing bus stop on the west side of the road.
• Extend sidewalk from the proposed curb ramp at the northeast corner to the relocated bus stop
• Extend sidewalk from the proposed curb ramp at the northwest corner to the existing bus stop.
