Celebrating Frost Middle School’s 50 years of serving the Community

Madame Chairman:

It brings me great pleasure to recognize one of the Braddock District’s greatest treasures, Robert Frost Middle School. For 50 years now, Frost Middle School has been serving the community, preparing youth for future success in life, and acting as a model for excellence in the Fairfax County Public School system.

Due to both a highly qualified staff of educators and a dedicated parent community, Frost Middle School has long been a school where children are given only the best educational opportunities. At Frost Middle School, students are held to high expectations for both academic performance and behavior and are instructed on ethics and citizenship, encouraging them to grow to be people who will make a difference in their communities.

On May 2nd, the Frost Middle School community will gather for a 50th Anniversary Celebration to reflect on past successes and step forward toward another 50 years of greatness. Festivities will begin with a 5K Race and Fun Run followed up by an open house including a slide show of 50 years of Frost family and friends. There will also be building tours, an art gallery highlighting the artwork of current Frost students, a memorabilia display, and student chorus, drama, band, and orchestra performances.

Madame Chairman, without objection I ask that the Board of Supervisors offer its congratulations to Frost Middle School and authorize a certificate to be presented at the school’s 50th Anniversary celebration on May 2, 2015.
