Communications Vehicle Rally

Madam Chairman:

Fairfax County Department of Information Technology (DIT) Radio Services Center and Public Safety agencies are proud to host the 14th Annual Communications Vehicle Rally on Friday, June 28th, 2019 from 8:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the Fairfax County Police Department's driver training facility located at 3725 Stonecroft Boulevard in Chantilly, VA.

County and regional executive leadership is invited to observe this communications interoperability event bringing together communications and command units from federal, state and local public safety and emergency management agencies to participate in opportunities for demonstrating interoperability and new technologies.  Significant investments supporting inter-governmental communications from UASI and other grants as well as funds from participating NCR jurisdictions have formed a critical capability in the region and the rally is the opportunity for first responders and leadership to network with peers from other governments and agencies and to see what new technologies are available in the field of interoperable communications.

Information and registration for participation is available at www.Fairfaxcounty.gov/rally. If unable to attend live, it should be noted that the event will be streamed live as it unfolds.

Therefore Madam Chairman, I move that the Office of Public Affairs promote the 14th Annual Communications Vehicle Rally on Friday, June 28th, 2019 through all appropriate channels.
