Recognizing Truro Homes Association for its 50th Anniversary
Madam Chairman:
Fairfax County is home to hundreds of fine neighborhoods, some small and some large, some new and some old. One of our most active Associations, the Truro Homes Association, is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year.
This wonderful community consists of over 400 homes in the Truro area of Annandale, just south of Little River Turnpike, east of Guinea Road, and west of Wakefield Chapel Road. The Association became incorporated on May 15, 1968, and since that time has gone through a number of changes, but still remains a true inclusive and friendly neighborhood. Most recently, the community came together to help shape the new stream restoration project which has greatly enhanced the beauty and environmental resources for the neighboring parkland. This is just one of the many ways that the citizens of Truro have come together to volunteer their time and talents to make their community a better place to live.
Therefore Madam Chairman, I ask without objection, that we recognize the Truro Homes Association for this milestone and that a proclamation be prepared to be presented at their June 2nd Community Celebration.
