The 2024 Rental Housing Complex Analysis provides summary-level data on various rental housing topics including the inventory of rental units, vacancy rate, square footage and monthly rental costs. This information is frequently used for cost-of-living analysis, housing eligibility and other purposes. In addition, the For Rent interactive visualization highlights key findings related to living costs and affordability.
Compared to 2023, the 2024 report shows a 2.7% increase in the total rental inventory, including a 6.5% growth in subsidized complex units across the county. The vacancy rate decreased by 1.6% to 4.4%, and the average monthly rent (excluding rent subsidies) increased by 3.6% to $2,092.
