On behalf of the women and men of the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department, I proudly welcome you to our Department. Our mission is to provide the highest quality services to protect the lives, property, and environment of the communities we serve.

As a National and internationally respected department, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue is one of only three agencies worldwide that is accredited, holds an ISO 1 rating, and serves a population of over one million. These accomplishments could not be achieved without the support of our community. We are continually striving to move the bar forward for the Fire and Rescue Department, promoting innovation and collaboration.  We are focused on meeting the needs of our community and strive to mirror our community through a focus on diversity and inclusion.

The members of our fire and rescue department work diligently to provide the highest level of fire and emergency medical services, community risk reduction, and customer service.
