Written Exam
The test consists of 155 multiple choice questions, takes two and half hours, and covers cognitive ability and behavioral orientation questions. Physical Abilities Test (PAT)
The physical abilities test (PAT) is a sequence of physical challenges designed to determine a candidate’s physical fitness. Upon completion of this test, applicants will receive an appointment for the next step in the process.
Applicants who have completed IAFF CPAT within 12 months from the date of application with an IAFF certified facility, can be exempted from taking PAT in the application process contingent on the verification of their certification.
