The Partnership for a Healthier Fairfax, a coalition of community members and organizations working together to explore new approaches for addressing the social determinants of health and other critical public health issues, is seeking nominations for its 2022 Live Healthy Fairfax Award. The award recognizes individuals, businesses, government, as well as private and public organizations that have demonstrated exemplary leadership and actions to improve the health and well-being of individuals, families, and populations in our communities. Learn more at Live Healthy Fairfax.

The Live Healthy Fairfax Award is aligned with the Partnership’s Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) and is intended to recognize those who go “above and beyond” in three areas:

  • Behavioral Health
  • Healthy Eating
  • Healthy Environment and Active Living

The Partnership for a Healthier Fairfax is searching for a wide range of nominations. Examples include: volunteers who to lead major health and wellness initiatives, businesses that provide employees and customers with health-related opportunities or agencies that implement support for their employees who make healthy living (lifestyle) choices. The partnership celebrates people and programs that impact the health of the wider community and are considered “sustainable.”

Details about the Awards program can be found on the Live Healthy Fairfax Awards page. The deadline for nominations is January 12, 2022.
