Notice of Public Meeting - Affordable Housing Resources Panel November 28, 2018

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
Fairfax County Board of Supervisors’ Affordable Housing Resources Panel
Wednesday, November 28, 2018, 6:30 p.m.

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors’ Affordable Housing Resources Panel (AHRP) will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Fairfax County Government Center (12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax VA 22035) in conference room 11.

In July 2018, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approved the creation of the AHRP – a group of community members with a wide variety of affordable housing experience – to provide the Board with recommendations for the preservation and production of housing over the next 15 years that is affordable to those earning 60 percent of the area median income (AMI) and below. Recommendations from the panel will be provided to the Board in time for inclusion in the Fiscal Year 2020 Budget guidelines. This is a continuation of efforts that began in Phase 1 of the Communitywide Housing Strategic Plan (https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/housing/communitywideplan), and represents the County’s commitment to recognizing and addressing affordable housing needs now and in the future.

Interested residents are invited to attend this meeting of the AHRP. If you have any questions concerning the public meeting, please contact Vincent Rogers, Director of Policy, Reporting and Communications, Department of Housing and Community Development, at Vincent.Rogers@fairfaxcounty.gov or at 703-246-5182.
