The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) is accepting waiting list applications for both privately-owned and Fairfax County-owned Project-Based Voucher (PBV) units. Applications came online Monday, June 2, 2025 at 8:00 a.m., and will remain open through Sunday, June 8, 2025.
Affordable Rental Housing Opportunities
Waitlist applications will be accepted for properties located throughout Fairfax County including:
- Hollybrook III (one and two bed), 3012 Patrick Henry Drive, Falls Church, VA 22044,
- Creekside Village (one, two and three bed), 7979 Janna Lee Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22306
- The Arden (one, two and three bed), 2317 Huntington Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22303
- One University - The Robinson (two bed), 4530 University Drive, Fairfax, VA
- Madison Ridge (one and two bed), 14806 Rydell Road, Centerville, VA 20121
- Ovation at Arrowbrook (one and two bed), 13325 Fairfield Ridge Avenue, Herndon
Waitlist applications will also be accepted for one and three bedroom Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) PBV units owned and operated by the FCRHA. Locations can be found on the website. (Please note: Briarcliff II in Vienna is not included in the waitlist applications.)
How to Apply
Interested individuals can apply on the Fairfax County Housing and Community Development website. Applications will be accepted until Sunday, June 8, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Application instructions are available in English and Spanish.
Individuals who need assistance can call 703-246-5100 or visit the FCRHA office at 3700 Pender Drive in Fairfax, VA during normal business hours 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
How Waitlist Applications Work
Waitlist applications will be selected at random and placed on the waiting list. Once a unit becomes available, the waiting list applicants will be contacted, screened, and determined eligible based on income level, household size, and the size of the rental unit.
About the Project-Based Voucher Program
The Project-Based Voucher program is a subsidized rental housing program where households pay a portion of the rent up to 35 percent of the adjusted gross household income, while the FCRHA pays the remaining portion of the rent to the owner. Program participants are ineligible to receive other Federal Housing Assistance subsidies.
