Community Conversation and Ribbon Cutting at Fair Ridge Shelter

Today, the Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development’s Office to Prevent and End Homelessness, together with Shelter House and the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority, hosted a community conversation and ribbon cutting for the Fair Ridge Shelter. Located in the Sully District of Fairfax, the Fair Ridge Shelter formally opened its doors on April 1 to families experiencing homelessness. The community conversation centered on the role of the shelter in the greater community.

The Office to Prevent and End Homelessness is seeking community members to join its Fair Ridge Shelter Community Advisory Committee. The group will share community perspective and have concerns addressed. All are welcome, those who live or work in vicinity of the shelter are encouraged to participate.
