June 8, 2021 Joint Board Matter: Recognition of Jennifer Siciliano

Joint Board Matter by Chairman McKay with Supervisor Alcorn, Supervisor Walkinshaw, Supervisor
Smith, Supervisor Storck, Supervisor Gross, Supervisor Palchik, Supervisor Lusk, Supervisor Herrity, and Supervisor Foust

On August 11, Jennifer Siciliano will begin a new appointment with UVA Health, following 14
years with Inova.

Among her many accomplishments at Inova, she built a high performing government and
community relations team and initiated a system wide strategy for employee engagement in key
legislative and regulatory priorities including Medicaid expansion in the Commonwealth.

In addition to her work at Inova, Jennifer has been a dependable and appreciated partner for
Fairfax County on many regional and statewide Boards and Commissions. She has served on
the Virginia Chamber of Commerce Board as well as its Health Care Industry Council, the
Virginia Business Council, the Northern Virginia Technology Council and LEAD Virginia. She
is also a founding member of the Community Foundation of Northern Virginia’s Business
Women’s Giving Circle. She has also chaired the Northern Virginia Chamber, and she served as
a member of the Fairfax County Economic Development Commission and as a member of the
Board of Directors for the George Mason Honors College Board. Most recently, Jennifer was
also a member of my Task Force for Equity and Opportunity.

Personally, Jennifer has been a great friend and resource for myself and I know many others on
this and previous Boards of Supervisors. She’s dedicated her career to bettering our community
and has no doubt succeed in those efforts.

Therefore, we move that we recognize Jennifer Siciliano for her years of hard work and thank
her for her service to Fairfax County. We also move that the Office of Public Affairs prepare a
proclamation for presentation at a future Board meeting, when it is appropriate to do so.
