Public libraries are not just buildings full of books. Libraries are now a hub of community activities where children and adults can check out books, find quiet spaces, attend engaging programs, use computers, collaborate on projects or chat with friends. We work hard to provide timely, useful resources to those who live and work in Fairfax County.

One of FCPL’s goals is designing events that engage our diverse and dynamic community. We try to offer programs that will capture your interest and provide experiences you may not get anywhere else. We hope you can join us for some of our fall programming!

Ballet Class for Adults. In this class, explore different positions of the feet, body and arms as well as correct alignment. You will have a fun time learning the secrets behind becoming a dancer! Burke Centre Library, Sept. 23 and Oct. 21, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Craft & Create: Heat Embossing Workshop. In this workshop, create personalized decorative stationary using stamps, embossing powders and a heat tool to add texture and dimension to your designs.
