From April 1 until May 7, 2023, Fairfax County Public Library held its annual poetry contest. Open to teens and adults who live, work or study in Fairfax County, this year's contest was entitled 'Poetic Musings" and tasked participants with write a poem in one of three different styles: odes, rhymed or free verse. Poems could be on any topic and two winners per style would be chosen for each age group (teens and adults). A total of 66 poems where submitted, 10 of which were selected as winners.
